Kensal Art Studio by Mini Picassos – Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a class, course, workshop, or studio session with Kensal Art Studio by Mini Picassos. By registering for classes or using our facilities, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking and Payment

All classes, courses, workshops, and studio sessions must be paid for in advance.

Places are booked on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved without payment.

We reserve the right to refuse entry if you arrive without a confirmed booking and the session is fully booked.

All classes booked must be used within the current term or scheduled period unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Places are non-transferable and may not be shared, resold, or passed to another participant without prior written approval from the Studio.

We occasionally offer discounts, promotional offers, or early bird pricing. Promotional codes:

are only valid for specified sessions,
cannot be applied retrospectively,
cannot be transferred between bookings,
and expire on the stated date.

Full payment is required before the class, course, or workshop begins unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in advance. Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of your place and/or an additional £25 administration fee.

2. Two-Part Payment Plans

Where a payment plan is offered, the course fee will be divided into two instalments.

The first payment must be made within 7 days of receiving the invoice. The second payment is due on the date specified in your invoice or confirmation email.

By paying the first instalment, you agree to pay the remaining balance in full by the agreed due date. The first payment acts as a commitment to the full course fee.

Failure to make the second payment may result in:

suspension from classes,
cancellation of your place,
and recovery of outstanding fees.

3. Trial Classes

Trial classes may be available for selected term-time classes where space permits.

Trial sessions are charged at the advertised trial rate and are limited to one trial per person, per term.

Additional trial sessions within the same term will be charged at the standard single-session rate.

Trial classes are not available for sold-out sessions or special workshops unless otherwise stated.

Please contact the Studio directly to arrange a trial class.

4. Attending Classes and Workshops

We have aprons available, we cannot guarantee clothing will remain stain-free.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, tutors, fellow students, and studio property at all times.

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, aggressive, unsafe, or inappropriate. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

Please inform us in advance of:

any allergies,
medical conditions,
accessibility requirements,
or additional support needs.

We will do our best to accommodate individual requirements wherever reasonably possible.

All artwork and personal belongings must be collected promptly after sessions, as storage space is limited.

The Studio accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal items brought onto the premises.

5. Photography and Recording

Please do not photograph or record other participants without their permission.

From time to time, Kensal Art Studio by Mini Picassos may take photographs or videos during classes for marketing or promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings, please notify us in writing before your session.

6. Refunds and Cancellation Policy

Please check all dates and scheduled sessions carefully before booking.

Missed sessions, unattended classes, or partial attendance cannot be refunded, credited, or transferred unless otherwise stated.

Refund requests must be made at least 14 days before the start date of a course, class, or workshop.

Approved refunds are subject to:

a 7% processing fee based on the total amount paid, and
a £10 administration fee.

Credit notes may be offered at our discretion for cancellations made with at least 72 hours’ notice before the scheduled session.

No refunds will be issued for:

illness,
change of mind,
non-attendance,
late arrival,
or inability to attend due to personal circumstances.

Non-attendance without prior notice will result in loss of the session with no refund or credit.

Any changes to bookings, including transferring to another date or session, must be requested at least 72 hours in advance and may incur a £10 administration fee.

If a session is cancelled by Kensal Art Studio by Mini Picassos, participants will be offered either:

a full refund,
a credit note,
or an alternative date.

No additional compensation will be payable.

7. Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

severe weather,
transport disruption,
government restrictions,
power outages,
illness,
or other unforeseen events.

Where possible, alternative dates or credit notes will be offered. Refunds may not be available in these circumstances.

8. Health and Safety

Participants must follow all Studio safety instructions at all times.

The Studio reserves the right to refuse participation where health and safety may be compromised.

Anyone attending under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be refused entry without refund.

9. Liability

Participation in classes and workshops is at your own risk.

Kensal Art Studio by Mini Picassos shall not be liable for:

personal injury,
loss,
damage,
or expense,
except where caused by proven negligence on our part.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

10. Gift Vouchers and Credit Notes

All gift vouchers and credit notes are valid for 12 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

Expired vouchers or credits cannot be extended or redeemed.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
